India ASEAN ICT Expo 2017 Strengthening Bonds Between India and Indonesia
India’s focus on strengthening multifaceted relations with ASEAN is the result of significant changes in the world’s political and economic scenarios since the early 1990s and the Indian marches themselves toward economic liberalization. India’s search for the economic space produces ‘Look East Policy’.
India and ASEAN observe 25 years of their Dialogue Partnership, 15 levels of Summit Level interaction and 5 years of Strategic Partnership in 2017. The silver anniversary theme of the ASEAN-India Dialogue Partnership, “Shared Value, Common Fate”, is built on civilization and ties a culture that has bound the countries of India and ASEAN for over a thousand years. A line of credit of US $ 1 BILLION in ‘DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY’ is also available for ASEAN.
Thanks to game changer solutions from the Indian ICT industry as well as utilizing the Government of India Line of Credit available for ASEAN digital connectivity, Indonesia can be the first project to refresh the historic ties between the two countries. A new round will be added in the ICT sector between the two countries.
This will be a major transformation in the lives of people living in the archipelagic country of Indonesia, where they not only have access to cellular networks but also e-education, e-health, wi-fi, and e-governance.
