But no less interesting is the fastest charging technology. And we also had the opportunity to test the performance of the 150W UltraDart which we are very proud of.
While smartphone battery capacity is still relatively stagnant from year to year, what can be improved in the near future is the charging technology. Starting from the wireless method to high voltage.
Realme smartphones that are already available on the market – including Indonesia – are also equipped with fast charging support. Starting from the realme C Series to the realme Number Series. Although not the best series, realme has provided 65W SuperDart support for smartphones priced less than IDR5 million. As one way to popularize fast charging in the country.

How realme popularizes fast charging
Madhav Sheth, President, realme International Business Group himself said that in the future, he wants to make fast charging technology something addictive for consumers. I immediately experienced this when I was testing the performance of the 150W UltraDart via a prototype smartphone from realme, at the MWC 2022 booth.
In this test, realme itself did not mention exactly how the device specifications, the chipset used, to the battery capacity of the device. This will be revealed in full later when the 150W UltraDart technology has been officially mass-produced via the first smartphone, the Realme GT Neo3. For now, it’s just a prototype.
Before trying realme’s latest 150W UltraDart charging performance directly, please note that this technology requires synergy between devices. In this case the smartphone, the cable, and the charger adapter. Must use the appropriate type, in order to deliver a strong current.
The dimensions of the charger adapter itself are slightly larger than the 65W SuperDart adapter. And the adapter is backward compatible—when I use it on realme 9 Pro+, SuperDart can still be active. So it can be used to charge other realme smartphones to laptops practically.
Realme 150W UltraDart Performance Test Results
There were several prototype units that we tried, and each one had a slightly different speed. But across all devices, it shows similar 150W UltraDart performance. From the battery capacity of 2-5%, it takes about 5-6 minutes to reach 50%. This speed can of course be influenced by several external factors.
First, the number of applications running in the background while charging. Second, whether the screen stays on or not (to see the percentage of battery that continues to go up fast for the first five minutes). The more you turn it on, of course, the performance of 150W UltraDart Charge will be slightly affected—though not as significant as other fast charging solutions.
Interestingly, the smartphone does not feel hot at all. This is thanks to the implementation of security system implemented by realme, which is part of a special standard they call UDCA or UltraDart Charging Architecture. Through UDCA, smartphone batteries are also guaranteed to last long for long-term use.
