California (USA), Gizmologi – The Apple Event which was held on March 8, 2022, was held to inform you of the latest series of services and products. For its own smartphone, Apple has unveiled the iPhone SE 2022 and a new color for the iPhone 13 Series.
Still, at the same event, Apple also updated its iPad Air with a faster processor, the Apple M1. Yes, the event that was held earlier this year seemed to be more about updating existing products with minor refreshments. At least for the line of smartphones and tablets, which can already be said to be very competitive.
A few months ago, rumors of the emergence of the latest iPhone SE had started to come with dimensions that were just as small but had a full screen. The inauguration of the iPhone SE 2022 this time dismissed all these rumors. Because in appearance, this cheapest Apple smartphone is made exactly the same. Including the color options, it comes in three options namely Midnight, Starlight, and Product Red.

iPhone SE 2022 uses the iPhone 13’s Chipset
According to Kaiaan Drance, VP of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Apple, the iPhone SE has become very popular as a consumer choice, thanks to its iconic design, fast performance, and affordable price.
“This year, we built the fastest and most powerful iPhone SE 2022, with less battery life thanks to the use of the A15 Bionic chipset,” said Kaiaan.
Yes, the two points mentioned earlier are the main differences that are presented to the iPhone SE 2022. Although the physical appearance is the same, Apple has strengthened the glass front and back, using the same material as the iPhone 13 Series. That way, this device will be more resistant when dropped, also supported by IP67 certification and aluminum frame.
Bringing the A15 Bionic processor, the iPhone SE 2022 automatically supports 5G networks and provides much faster performance than the previous generation. Features that require AI such as Live Text from camera applications and the like can be automatically presented. Also the new Smart HDR 4 algorithm, Photographic Styles and Deep Fusion. Improve the quality of photos and videos even though the sensor is still the same 12MP f/1.8.
Interestingly, Apple did not mention the night mode feature in the official release of the iPhone SE 2022, considering that the previous generation did not have this feature. So how much does it cost? Starting from USD429, or Rp. 6.1 million for a 64GB capacity. It will be available globally on March 18th.
New Colors For iPhone 13 & 13 Pro
In addition to the iPhone SE 2022, Apple also introduced new colors for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. This isn’t the first time—before, Apple also released a new color purple on the iPhone 12, a few months after its release. The difference is, this time the two new colors are present for the Pro and non-Pro variants.
Both green, the two new colors are actually made slightly different. The green on the iPhone 13 is made slightly darker than the Alpine Green of the iPhone 13 Pro. Apple’s excuse? It’s as simple as giving more color options when consumers want to buy a new iPhone. While taking advantage of all the excellent features of the iPhone 13 Series.
Only the colors are new, aka there is no difference in features or performance between the green iPhone 13 and the previous colors. Judging from the previous generation, it should also be present in Indonesia at the same price as other color options.
