realme Successfully Overtakes Many Other Global Brands
As seen in the image above, realme managed to get the highest growth in the value of 5G smartphone shipments compared to six other global brands. In the fourth quarter of 2021, growth reached 165% year-on-year, compared to data from the previous year. Overtaking Samsung by 109%, OPPO at 42%, and even Apple at 30%.
As the youngest smartphone brand among others, the value of this very fast growth is certainly the result of the various efforts that have been made so far. Affordable 5G smartphone options in the European region have also started earlier, aka more, considering the widespread availability of the network. But other than that, Counterpoint said sales of 5G devices from realme were also quite good in other regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, and the Asia Pacific.
