According to Ajaib, this is the first time that NFT has become a mascot or Brand Ambassador in Indonesia. The Bored Ape owned by Ajaib Kripto or PT Kagum Teknologi Indonesia is the Bored Ape issued #2831. The Bored Ape is present throughout the Ajaib Crypto campaign and will help educate the public about crypto assets and technology blockchain.
AJAIB Crypto received permission from Indonesian government
AJAIB Crypto is the newest product for buying and selling crypto. It seems that Ajaib has ambitions to become an investment platform for various types of instruments in one application; from stocks, mutual funds to crypto assets.
With Ajaib Crypto, investors can buy and sell the most popular crypto assets easily and safely, because they have obtained permission from the Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (CoFTRA) through registration number 008/BAPPEBTI/CP-AK/04/2022.
Azizah, spokesperson for Ajaib Kripto said that his party believes that blockchain, metaverse and web3 technology represented by NFT Bored Ape will be a new era for global technology, including in Indonesia.
“The designation of the iconic NFT as our mascot is a clear proof of our commitment to supporting Indonesia to be at the forefront of the metaverse and web3 in Southeast Asia,” said Azizah in a press release received by Gizmologi in Jakarta (13/6).
Based on Gizmology’s search, the number of coins and tokens traded in Crypto Ajaib is still relatively small, amounting to 15. Among them are BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), SOL (Solana), ADA (Cardano), BNB (Binance Coin), TRX (Tron), Doge, AVAX (Avalanche), LTC (Litecoin), DOT (Polkadot), Matic (Polygon), SAND (Sandbox), ATOM (Cosmos), FTM (Fantom), and COMP (Compound).
The application interface is simple, as in stock and mutual fund instruments. This includes providing information on each coin or token so that it is more suitable for beginner crypto asset investors.
The Ajaib Reason for Crypto Using Bored Ape
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection, also known as Bored Ape, consists of 10,000 NFT (non-fungible tokens) the iconic cartoon ape that has become a new symbol in global pop culture. Bored Ape is collected by world celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Eminem, and Serena Williams and has collaborated with well-known brands Gucci and Adidas to be the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
This mascot will be present in applications to Ajaib Crypto social media to continue educating the public about crypto assets and blockchain technology in Indonesia. Crypto assets themselves have become the most popular investment instruments in Indonesia, with the number of investors having crossed 12.4 million and is predicted to continue to rise. Ajaib itself is here to familiarize Indonesians with investing in instruments that suit their risk profile, one of which is crypto assets.
Azizah added, that the launch of Ajaib Crypto and the appointment of NFT Bored Ape were also the beginning of a commitment to using blockchain technology to encourage financial literacy in Indonesia.
“Beyond the investment features, Ajaib will also continue to improve the financial literacy of the Indonesian people through education and various researches. In the future, the Crypto Magic literacy program will also involve our NFT mascot,” concluded Azizah.
For information, Ajaib has recorded more than two million retail investors in the last two years. Through series B funding last October 2021, Ajaib has also become the 7th unicorn of technology companies in Indonesia. As a fintech unicorn, Ajaib is quite aggressive. A few months ago, Ajaib even owned 40% of Bank Bumi Arta’s shares.
