Based on Hootsuite data in the We Are Social report, more than 90 percent of Indonesians are familiar with the internet. To be precise, there will be around 2047 million internet users in Indonesia in 2022. This figure is equivalent to 737% of the population of Indonesia. In the last year there has been an increase of 21 million internet users compared to the previous year.
The report also revealed that of the 277 million population in Indonesia, some of them have 2 mobile devices. In fact, as many as 1914 million people are said to be active on social media. Imagine, the average Indonesian spends more than half the day accessing the internet. One person is thought to spend 8 hours and 36 minutes accessing the internet, or almost 3 hours watching television and streaming. This proves that people are spending more and more time on their mobile phones, engrossed in applications and platforms that make their lives easier and more comfortable. This is one of the motivations that made Telkomsel decide to accelerate its provision and become a digital lifestyle service provider. Their efforts are not half-hearted because basically Telkomsel already has a large customer base and adequate infrastructure.

Equalization of Telkomsel's 4G LTE Network Infrastructure and USO 3T
Starting from 1995 until now, Telkomsel continues to strive to expand coverage, increase capacity, and improve network quality. Commitment to building the country has been demonstrated through the holding of more than 255.000 base transceiver stations (BTS), including 204.900 broadband BTS capable of providing 3G and 4G LTE services that have reached 96% of the population and serve more than 159,1697 million customers.
Efforts to support equal distribution of services to all corners of the country are increasingly solid through the construction of BTS Universal Service Obligation (USO) together with BAKTI Kominfo. BTS USO is present as a form of Telkomsel's commitment to roll out a telecommunications network that reaches every inch of Indonesia's territory, including the most remote, outermost and underdeveloped (3T) regions, to further expand the area which currently numbers around 1.158 USO BTS and has been connected to the 4G LTE network.
Currently, the total BTS provided by Telkomsel is more than 260.000.In addition, Telkomsel also launched BTS Telkomsel Merah Putih (Penetrating Rural Areas, Remote Industry and Maritime) as a manifestation of the commitment to equalizing telecommunications infrastructure development. By 2022, the number of Telkomsel Merah Putih BTS has reached 230 BTS, consisting of 2G and 4G/LTE BTS.

Telecommunication products for all segments
Telkomsel has officially changed its products to be simpler. Previously there were prepaid SIM cards SimPATI, Kartu AS, Loop and others. Now all prepaid cards are merged into one, Telkomsel Prepaid. Meanwhile, postpaid services remain under the name Kartu Halo. Telkomsel also enriched its telecommunications card services towards digital with the name By.U is presented to meet the needs of Gen Z who want everything digital, including top-ups and purchasing quotas via the application.
Not only for individual consumers, Telkomsel also provides home internet services under the name Telkomsel Orbit. Telkomsel Orbit is a home internet service that uses a WiFi modem device with the best cellular network quality, as well as a data package that can be used without the need for a subscription.
Digital Lifestyle Ecosystem
Telkomsel is increasingly accelerating its entry into the digital lifestyle business line, especially during the pandemic. The need for applications to support people's digital lifestyles in various aspects of daily life is starting to become increasingly popular along with the government's appeal to 'Stay at home'. The success of the entertainment application was then followed by Telkomsel's seriousness in developing other lifestyle support applications. Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi (TMI) is a subsidiary of Telkomsel which operates in the venture capital sector by carrying out strategic investments that focus on acceleration, additional funds, and affiliates. TMI itself has continued to develop investments in future solutions for society, focusing on the trade and advertising, media and entertainment, connecting devices and hardware, data and analysis, and networks and infrastructure sectors. Through TMI, Telkomsel has invested in 12 digital companies that exist in Indonesia.
finAccel This financial services company claims to be able to change the way people can get financial credit. The parent company of Kredivo has just launched the first Buy Now Pay Later service in the telecommunications industry, called Telkomsel PayLater. Telkomsel service users can use PayLater from Kredivo to buy credit or other digital products on the MyTelkomsel application.
Privyid PrivyID is a provider of identity verification technology services or digital signatures, which can be used anywhere and anytime. Founded in 2016, PrivyID is certified by the Ministry of Communication and Information to accept registrations, verify, issue electronic certificates and electronic signatures for the public.
roambee Roambee is a startup providing end-to-end IoT-based asset monitoring services from Silicon Valley, United States. After receiving funding from Telkomsel, Roambee immediately introduced Asset Performance Management, an end-to-end IoT-based solution that can be used to monitor the location and condition of a company's products or assets such as temperature, humidity, and air pressure in real time. One of Roambee's roles is to provide Smart Gateways (sensors that are directly connected to the cloud) and Smart Beacons (connected to Smart Gateways and can be placed on moving and non-moving assets) as IoT Sensors in Asset Performance Management.
Inspigo This is a podcast platform created by Yoris Sebastian and his colleagues. Taken from the acronym Inspiration on the Go, this platform presents podcast content with a variety of topics and speakers, ranging from health, finance, music, to lifestyle. These contents can be enjoyed for free or for a fee.
Your School Your School is a curated educational platform founded by Najwa Shihab's older sister, Najeela Shihab in 2019. After investing, the two immediately created a program called Ilmupedia Dare to Answer.
Qlue Injected with investment by Telkomsel since June 2021, Qlue is a company that provides a smart city ecosystem in Indonesia. Forming the Indonesian Digital Ecosystem (Indico)
Meanwhile, another subsidiary formed by Telkomsel is Indico, which focuses on developing customer-oriented cross-sector solutions and services through technological innovation. Fita
Fita is a healthy lifestyle platform introduced by Telkomsel since November 2021. Fita has the advantage of localized content about health, nutrition, and various sports programs that have been curated by certified coaches.
MajaMojo
Majamojo is a brand carried by the joint venture (JV) PT Games Karya Nusantara. The business will focus on game development, opening up strategic partnership opportunities with third-party development companies. Maja Mojo wants the leading gaming publisher company in Indonesia to encourage penetration and dominance in the local and national gaming industry, especially for mobile platforms.
In general, TMI and Indico will fully support Telkomsel's goal of acting as a network infrastructure provider and becoming an enabler for the sustainability of digital business.
