Taipei, Gizmologi – After the specifications leaked some time ago, ASUS has finally officially launched its newest tiny flagship smartphone through an online launch. Named the ASUS Zenfone 10, this smartphone comes in a very familiar design, but brings a number of hardware improvements.
Even though Apple has failed to release a mini version of the smartphone, a number of other vendors still see the potential to win over consumers by releasing products that are more comfortable to hold in one hand. Until now, at least Samsung and Xiaomi are still presenting a smaller version of the flagship. In addition to the option of a folding screen smartphone (flip), which incidentally is much more expensive.
Even though it still has a lot in common, ASUS has updated a number of features to make the ASUS Zenfone 10 more worthy of competing with the flagship status released in 2023. Apart from updating the chipset, the camera system has also received a refresh. And consumers will also get a new wireless charging system, without making the battery capacity smaller than the previous generation.

In terms of appearance, the design changes to the ASUS Zenfone 10. There are five attractive color options to choose from, of which four colors will have a dark bezel and only Comet White will have a brighter colored bezel. The logo and text accents have changed slightly, while the rear camera protrusion is still made the same.
The rear body of the ASUS Zenfone 10 is still made of environmentally friendly polycarbonate material, aimed at reducing carbon footprint. Meanwhile, the packaging for the device also uses recycled paper materials and soy-based inks. An update that is also featured by ASUS is the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is claimed to make it 15% faster, 20% better graphics, and 15% more power efficient.
ASUS also pairs the chip with LPDDR5X RAM up to 16GB, as well as UFS 4.0 type internal storage. Apart from that, the battery capacity of the ASUS Zenfone 10 is still 4,300 mAh. The charging speed via cable is still limited to 30W, but what is new is support for 15W Qi wireless charging.

This new stabilization system combines OIS, EIS algorithms and data from the gyroscope for video shake correction.
Video recording on the ASUS Zenfone 10 will also be of higher quality thanks to OZO Audio technology, which can reduce wind noise and produce spatial 3D sound effects. The 12MP ultra-wide sensor on the back is still the same, but up front is now a new 32MP sensor that uses RGBW type and large pixels for better selfies in low light.
Even though it uses environmentally friendly materials, ASUS has decided to still provide a 30W charger adapter in its sales package.
