OPPO Indonesia has opened registration for its latest folding screen smartphone, suggesting that it will be available soon. The Gizmologi team had a chance to examine the design of the OPPO Find N3 Flip before it was sold. It still looks familiar, but with a number of interesting improvements.
The signs of the upcoming release of the OPPO Find N3 Flip in Indonesia are becoming more evident and imminent. On the interest registration page, it is stated that consumers can get a special voucher to make purchases on October 19 2023. OPPO Indonesia’s official social media account posted a teaser about the upcoming release of the OPPO Find N3 Series.
The meaning of the word “Series” itself can mean that not only one product will be included. OPPO Indonesia is rumored to be launching the OPPO Find N3 to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold5. Before it is launched globally, let’s take a closer look at the design of the OPPO Find N3 Flip first.

The camera module is the main differentiator
Previously, I mentioned that the design of the OPPO Find N3 Flip still looks familiar. Especially the screen folding mechanism, dimensions and design of the Cover Screen, aka the outer screen. Comes in three different color options, namely Astral Black, Moonlit Gold and Mist Rose. When held, this latest OPPO folding smartphone feels more comfortable.
This seems to be thanks to the curve on the exterior which is made slightly different. When closed, the back now only carries the OPPO logo. The Hasselblad logo has been moved to the front and integrated into the camera module, which is the main design feature. Meanwhile next to it, it still uses a vertical Cover Screen design.
OPPO chose to use a vertical screen for better compatibility with various applications during its initial release in the home country. Next to it, there is an area where a new camera module is being designed. This module is circular in shape and consists of three separate camera sensors. Complete with the Hasselblad logo printed quite clearly.
The design of the OPPO Find N3 Flip camera is inspired by the OPPO Find X6 Pro, a flagship model that is not available worldwide. Carrying the “Cosmos Ring”, on the edge it has a striped surface called “Starlight Track”. And thanks to collaboration with OnePlus, the OPPO Find N3 Flip is now also equipped with an alert slider. A physical slider to change the sound profile from ringing to silent.
OPPO Find N3 Flip Design Improvements Include Stronger Hinge
The OPPO Find N3 Flip has a design that is mainly different in the camera module. It is reported that OPPO has improved the screen folding mechanism with a new hinge that is more durable than the previous generation. Of course with minimal crease, especially when compared to the Galaxy Z Flip5.
OPPO is unable to provide IPX8 certification for the latest OPPO Find N3 Flip design. It only has IPX4 certification, which means it can withstand water splashes without getting damaged. Regarding specifications, external sites say that the OPPO Find N3 Flip camera has experienced a significant improvement, becoming a flip smartphone with the most complete camera.
The main sensor uses a Sony IMX890 sensor and is supported by OIS, while the 48MP ultra-wide angle increases significantly in resolution and supports autofocus for close-up photos. Then there is an additional sensor in the form of a 32MP f/2.0 telephoto with 2x optical zoom, similar to a number of Reno10 5G variants. All three can be used for photos from both the main screen and the Cover Screen.
In terms of specifications on paper, the outer and inner screen sectors are still relatively identical. However, for the engine, the Dimensity 9200 chip from MediaTek with a faster CPU core is used.
Until now, OPPO Indonesia has not yet stated the official price of this compact folding smartphone. In its home country, the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is priced at CNY 6,799, or around IDR 14 million). The price is quite competitive, equivalent to offers from Samsung.
