Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has just released an exceptional report titled “Empowering Indonesia Report 2024”. This report aims to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to empower Indonesia’s economic growth.
Indosat worked on this report with Twimbit, a global research and consulting company, with the theme “Growth Beyond Metropolitan”.
Vikram Sinha, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, emphasizes the pivotal role of technology and connectivity in propelling Indonesia forward. In the “Empowering Indonesia Report 2024,” Indosat invites strategic partners to collaborate and explore sustainable opportunities and solutions. Extensive research projects Indonesia’s digital economy to soar to IDR 1.8 trillion by 2027.
“We believe that research can strengthen collaboration, encourage economic and social growth, and pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 driven by innovation and community empowerment,” he said.
The Indonesia 2024 Report proposes five strategic initiatives for sustainable transformation towards the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045. These initiatives include tapping into the potential of secondary cities, expanding the digital economy to remote rural areas, strengthening the role of MSMEs, enhancing technology in the agricultural sector, and empowering women.

Indosat and Twimbit offer opportunities for young people to contribute to the technology field through the “Youth-Tech Challenge Competition”. As part of the preparations, Indosat will hold an event grand launch And roadshow on various campuses. this competition aims to create innovative solutions supported by technology to overcome national challenges in various fields, such as urban areas, agriculture, education, MSMEs, and women’s empowerment.
This competition will be divided into three stages, namely the preliminary stage, semifinals and final. Participants will be guided through a series of mentorship and the opportunity to collaborate with industry professionals. They will be given the opportunity to choose one of several case studies from Empowering Indonesia Report 2024, which focuses on Indonesia’s economic growth.
