Jakarta, Gizmologi – Agate is one of the companies participating in the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) Conference 2024 in Bali (12/10). The company’s participation in the event is aimed at strengthening global expansion and raising funds to expand its business.
The company is currently raising US$2 million through Convertible Noes which will be used to strengthen B2B operations, develop new products, and start a game publishing business for the Indonesian market. For the company, this step is related to increasing support from the Indonesian government for the domestic gaming industry.
“This year, through fundraising efforts, we want to support the continued growth of our B2B business, new product development, M&A lead generation, and start a game publishing business for the Indonesian market with the increasing government support for the local game industry,” explained Shieny Aprilia, Co-Founder & CEO of Agate.
Shieny continued that the strategic expansion carried out by her company requires large investments to be able to support it effectively, from the operational side as well as new strategic initiatives along with the company’s consolidation in the Indonesian gaming industry.

Agate Pushes Game Development and Knowledge Transfer
The company is developing the games Akarmaut: Rootmare, Blades of Mirage, including a collaboration with Confiction Labs via Riftstorm, and has entered the third public playtest phase (Alpha Playtest). The company is also co-developing Nightmare Battler Zozo with Saudi Arabian developer Red Dunes. Meanwhile, DreadHaunt, a collaborative project with Digital Happiness, with joint IP ownership.
Not only games, because the company is also committed to improving its team’s capabilities through knowledge transfer when participating in various international activities, gaming events, as well as providing facilities and support, one example of which is course fees to improve team skills. Agate also held sharing sessions between teams to strengthen collaboration and innovation.
Agate has expanded its B2B partnerships with several global technology companies to strengthen its position in the global gaming ecosystem. This move aims to introduce innovative solutions in various game genres and enhance the company’s competitiveness.
