Jakarta, Gizmology – Zoom Video Communication, Inc. recently held Zoomtopia on Thursday (10/10), presenting a variety of AI-based work platform innovations. Work platforms used include Workplace and Business Services.
The embedding of AI technology in the work platform aims to transform team productivity, as well as the way team members communicate, collaborate and interact with customers.

The presence of AI Companion is expected to increase productivity and help enterprise customers to transform the way they work, especially now that it is a fast-paced digital era.
The embedded AI Companion feature will be available for free at no additional cost. Users who have subscribed and met the terms of use, can utilize this AI technology service to help better work processes.

Additional Features on Zoom’s AI Companion
Zoom also features an add-on for AI Companion that enables personalization of AI Companion, enabling it to access data across multiple apps in addition to Microsoft and Google email and calendar services, as well as additional enterprise data to expand its knowledge.
Some of the key components of the new add-on include user personalization using AI Studio, connecting with third-party apps, as well as personalization with a personal coach to develop skills independently.
Unlike AI Companion, this additional feature will cost an additional US$12 per user per month. And the plan will only be launched in the first half of 2025.
Meanwhile, Workplace and Business Services will also provide additional features that are beneficial for users’ work efficiency. In Zoom Workplace, AI innovations can be found in the Tasks and Phone features that can summarize calls in text form. Likewise, the Clips and Docs features can process data in tables to create customized templates.
For Business Services, some of the supporting features that can be used include Zoom Virtual Agent, Auto QUality Management, and AI Expert Assist. For AI Expert Assist has the ability to analyze the context of the conversation, notice the steps the agent has taken, and then guide the user to the next relevant step.
