Huawei MateBook D 14 2024 Ready to Come with 13th Generation Intel Processor

Huawei Devices Indonesia updates its tablets and laptops every year, with improved hardware and software. Huawei is preparing to launch the MateBook D 14 2024 series, which will have improved performance and additional benefits, in addition to tablets with exclusive PaperMatte screens.

Yes, some time ago Huawei released the latest variant of the MateBook D Series. However, this variant comes with a much wider screen dimension, namely 16 inches. The MateBook D 14 2024, on the other hand, will offer a more compact and portable design, making it the perfect choice for enhancing productivity on the go.

Both the 2024 MateBook D 14 and the latest D 16 have finally abandoned the previous design which, indeed looks sleek, but with an unusual placement of the webcam, aka in a row of Function (Fn) buttons. This modern version still looks slim and light, with four thin screen bezels, but also brings other interesting advantages.

Design

The MateBook D 14 2024 has the same design as the previous version, especially on the outside. Appearing in silver, this latest Huawei laptop weighs less than 1.4 kilograms, with a thickness of less than 16mm. It is said to be stronger thanks to durability tests exceeding 10 thousand tests.

The MateBook D 14 2024’s body has undergone 40 stages of anodizing to reduce the risk of wear, crusting, and corrosion. When opened, the 14-inch MateBook D 14 2024 screen has full HD resolution with four thin bezels, has a screen ratio of 16:10 and screen to body reaches 90%.

The MateBook D 14 2024 has a 1MP webcam that can burn brightly at up to 300 nits and has a color gamut of 45% NTSC. The webcam is now located on the side of the top bezel. The camera has AI features, like FollowCam, that keep the face centered in the display. Noise-cancelling technology is also present so that voice calls continue to run smoothly and clearly, even when you are in a public place.

What helps WFA work activities is the Huawei Metaline Antenna feature, where the MateBook D 14 2024 is capable of capturing Wi-Fi networks up to 270 meters, aka the size of three football fields. This allows the laptop to download files up to 43% faster, ensuring it is free from interference or wireless interference.

Huawei MateBook D 14 2024 Goes On Sale March 21

The 2024 Huawei MateBook D 14 laptop will come with a more powerful processor, namely the 13th generation Intel Core i5-13420H which has four performance CPU cores and four power-saving cores, paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD type storage. With a maximum TDP performance of 30W, users can activate performance mode just by pressing the Fn+P button.

With a 56WHr battery, the MateBook D 14 2024 battery is claimed to be long-lasting so it can play 1080p videos for up to 13 hours non-stop. This laptop can also be a SuperHub, aka a wireless connector between Huawei devices. And equipped with the latest WPS Office application with AI integrated in it, capable of answering various questions contextually.

The price of the MateBook D 14 2024 itself has not been announced, while the first sale will be held from March 21 to April 15, 2024. Consumers can get a total prize of up to IDR 2 million, in the form of Huawei FreeBuds SE 2, Huawei Bluetooth Mouse, backpack, laptop stand, and Microsoft 365 Personal license.
