Soon, Indonesian consumers will receive the newest flagship from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi 14 is set to launch at the end of this month. It was unveiled globally at the MWC 2024 event in late February. Now, let’s take a look at the unboxing experience. Luxurious appearance in a compact design.
Xiaomi will present its newest flagship on March 26, after missing out on launching a new flagship last year. Yes, even though it also carries Leica frills, the Xiaomi 13T is priced at “only” IDR 6 million. It has a more affordable class than the Xiaomi 12 Series which was official two years ago—at that time it was available in standard and Pro versions.
From the teaser uploaded via the official Xiaomi Indonesia social media account, it is certain that the Xiaomi 14 standard variant will be present. There is no information yet whether the Ultra variant with a superior camera is officially available in Indonesia, although it seems pessimistic because there is no sign of a TKDN certificate appearing. So what are the initial impressions of the Xiaomi 14 Indonesia unboxing?

Available in Three Color Options
Overall, the unboxing experience of the Xiaomi 14 is more or less the same as opening contacts on most Xiaomi smartphones. Unlike a number of other flagships such as those released by Apple and Samsung, the box of this latest Xiaomi flagship is still relatively large and heavy. Because it still has complete equipment, aka complete accessories, it can be considered a plus point.
Apart from the official greeting card, when unboxing the Xiaomi 14, consumers will be greeted with the smartphone, as well as a charger adapter with a charging speed of 90W, complete with a charging cable. Then there is also a box of other additional accessories, including a dark matte colored soft case. Also a SIM card ejector, aka SIM ejector.
At least the Xiaomi 14 is available in three different colors globally, namely Black, White and Jade Green. The last two colors are similar in that the side of the bezel is made shiny silver, with the rear surface of the glass body also made glossy. Meanwhile, the Black option uses a matte finish, and the bezel side is made darker.
In fact, the design of the Xiaomi 14 is still relatively similar to the previous generation, but it’s natural that Gizmo friends are not familiar, considering that it is quite different from the Xiaomi 12. The rear camera module is made much larger with a boxy design, housing three camera sensors with different functions.
For the size of a flagship smartphone, the dimensions of the Xiaomi 14 are quite compact, comfortable enough for one-handed use. The smartphone also feels premium with a solid weight, feels a little slippery, but the flat sides of the bezel make it less easy to fall or slip from the hand.
Unboxing Xiaomi 14 Reveals Camera Sensor Type
It is known that the Xiaomi 14 variant, which is officially available in Indonesia, will have a fairly spacious RAM capacity of 12GB, with 256GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, for the Xiaomi 14 specifications in the screen sector, it has an AMOLED panel with a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz. With all four sides of the bezel made very thin, it has a flat surface.
Another advantage that can be found when unboxing the Xiaomi 14 is 90W HyperCharge technology, which allows instant charging. The kitchen engine will of course be supported by the best chip from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which is also used in a number of other flagship class smartphones released in 2024.
What about the Xiaomi 14 camera specifications? It still cannot be fully disclosed, the sensor itself uses a custom type, with a Leica Professional Optical Lens and the use of a Leica Summilux lens. If it is the same as the global version, this smartphone will have three different camera sensors with high resolution and floating telephoto lens technology.
