Barcelona, Gizmologi – Every year, there are at least two exhibition-type events that are most awaited by observers or simply followers of technological developments. Besides CES, is the Mobile World Congress 2022 aka MWC which is generally held at the beginning of the year in February.
In 2022, Gizmologi has the opportunity to come face to face in Barcelona. In the Mobile World Congress 2022 event, of course, there are lots of vendors who are present as participants to introduce the latest technology. What is impossible to be absent is smartphone vendors, at least confirmed by mainstream vendors such as realme, POCO, Samsung to HMD Global. They show off the latest products or just launch them to the public.
This time, Gizmologi’s chance to be present at Mobile World Congress 2022 is to exclusively cover the launch event from realme. Being the third year participating in MWC, realme will introduce a series of new products and technologies. What’s new in Mobile World Congress 2022
When compared to participation in MWC 2014, this year there were some adjustments, especially the implementation of the mandatory health protocols given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The venue or location itself is still the same, located at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
The design of the building itself has not changed from 8 years ago, as well as the other buildings that accompany it. Even though in Barcelona it is no longer mandatory to wear masks, the GSMA as the organizer still requires to wear masks in the building, so that all arrivals from various countries can be safer and healthier.
There are certain types of masks, at least you have to use KF94 or KN95, and if you don’t have them, you can buy them on the spot. The entry process is also now using digital verification from a QR code, utilizing a digital badge or digital badge from an application on a smartphone. Instead of showing a special ID card, you still have to remove the mask to show your face.
With the trip from the hotel before 8 am, the process to enter the venue was quite long, considering the realme launch event was held on the first day. The booth area is also quite far, so the team from Indonesia decided to leave early. Because it was still early, many booths in other areas were being prepared or closed.

Present in person or offline, realme has finally participated face-to-face after previously being converted to digital in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, the event was held in Hall 7, the area behind the Fira Gran Via Barcelona venue. Complete with booths containing the latest products and areas to watch live events.
