Jakarta, Gizmologi – POCO, the sub-brand smartphone from Xiaomi, released its new product. New smartphone, POCO X5 5G, comes with specifications that are said to be able to meet mobile gaming needs. This phone is available at pocket-friendly prices in the mid-range sector.
As a successor to the POCO X3 NFC, the POCO X5 5G has an AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 13 GB of RAM, with extended virtual RAM of course.
“We started this new year by launching the POCO X5 5G series smartphone as the real mid-range killer,” Andi Renreng, POCO Indonesia head of marketing, Tuesday (21/2/2023).
POCO X5 5G specifications and prices
POCO X5 5G has a 6.67-inch landscape screen with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels Full HD+. As mentioned above, this cellphone has a refresh rate of 120Hz, touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
Poco provides a maximum brightness level of up to 1,200 nits so that the screen is still clearly visible when used in the hot sun. The POCO X5 5G screen has also passed the SGS Eye Care Display and Seamless Pro tests.
For the kitchen spur, the POCO X5 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset combined with RAM with LPDDR4X technology which ranges from 6 and 8GB. POCO also embeds Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0 technology, so RAM can be added virtually 5GB (from 8 to 13GB).
“Dynamic RAM Expansion will make it easier for you to do multitasking,” said Andi.
In addition to a large RAM memory, POCO X5 5G also provides up to 256 GB of internal storage. Less satisfied? The POCO X5 5G price, which is at IDR 3 million, offers UFS 2.2 memory expansion with a microSD card of up to 1 TB which can be accessed via a SIM card slot combo.
For photography needs, the Poco X5 5G has three rear cameras. The main camera has a resolution of 48 MP, the other two cameras have a resolution of 8 MP. For selfie needs there is a 13 MP front camera.
The Poco X5 5G has a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh which is supported by the fast charging feature, aka 33W fast charging. Smartphones still provide a 3.5mm audio jack that supports Hi-Res so users can still use wired headsets.
Another feature, POCO X5 5G is IP53 certified, so it is dust and water resistant. Like its predecessor, the phone’s biometric security also supports AI Face Unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a Power button. Not to forget the NFC and IR Blaster.
“It comes in a choice of Black, Green and Blue colors. POCO X5 5G is made with a thickness of 7.98 mm and weighs 189 grams. “POCO X5 5G is very comfortable to use everyday, because it is the lightest and thinnest,” Andi claims.
Starting sales of the Poco X5 5G in Indonesia on February 24, 2023. Purchases can be made at Poco.co.id, Shopee, Erafone, Xiaomi Store Authorized Resellers, and Xiaomi Shop Authorized Resellers.
During February 24 to March 3, 2023, this new smartphone will be sold at a lower introductory price online. Following are the prices for the Poco X5 5G on the Indonesian market:

- 8GB/256GB: IDR 3,999,000 (Introductory price IDR 3,899,000)
