Jakarta, Gizmology โ Logitech, following the success of the Pro X Superlight 2, is reportedly preparing a new, more compact version, the Pro X Superlight 2c. This information comes from a leak reported by WinFuture, a technology site that is often accurate in releasing product details before the official launch.
The presence of this device has certainly generated enthusiasm, especially among competitive gamers. In recent years, the trend in gaming mice has increasingly shifted toward lightweight, responsive, and ergonomic devices. Logitech, as a major player in the market, clearly doesn't want to be left behind. This compact version of the Superlight line has the potential to meet the needs of gamers who want high precision in a smaller form factor.
However, questions also arise about how much of a difference this model offers over the regular version. The gaming mouse market is highly competitive today, with brands offering products with high specifications and competitive price points. Does the Pro X Superlight 2c offer significant added value, or is it simply a smaller variation on an existing product?

Specifications and Features

According to leaks, the Pro X Superlight 2c is equipped with Logitech's Hero 2 sensor, which supports sensitivity up to 44.000 DPI. This figure far exceeds the needs of the average gamer, but is a significant selling point for those playing at a professional level. Coupled with an 8 kHz polling rate and 88 G acceleration, this mouse is designed to accurately translate even the smallest movements on the screen.

Additionally, Logitech has embedded LightForce optical switches, which are claimed to provide faster clicks and longer durability. The design also features PTFE feet to reduce friction and LightSpeed โโwireless technology, which has been proven to provide a stable connection with low latency. With this combination, the Pro X Superlight 2c appears to retain the DNA of the previous Superlight series.
Interestingly, despite its smaller size, the battery capacity remains the same: 95 hours of use. It's even lighter, weighing just 53 grams, seven grams less than the standard version. Logitech will reportedly release this device in three color options: black, white, and magenta, with a retail price of around โฌ170.
Challenges in the Gaming Mouse Market
Despite its impressive specs, the Pro X Superlight 2c also faces significant challenges. Competition in the high-end gaming mouse segment is increasingly fierce, with brands like Razer, SteelSeries, and Pulsar continuing to innovate. Some even offer devices at more affordable prices, despite near-premium specifications.
Additionally, some gamers may question whether the move to a compact size really adds significant value. Not all players are comfortable with smaller mice, especially those accustomed to specific grips. In this regard, the Pro X Superlight 2c could be a niche product targeting a specific audience, rather than a replacement for the standard version.
Price will also play a significant role. With a price tag of around โฌ170, this mouse falls into the premium category. For casual gamers, this price might seem excessive, even with the cutting-edge technology. However, for esports athletes or competitive gamers who demand every technical advantage, the price may still be considered reasonable.
Logitech has yet to officially comment on the existence of the Pro X Superlight 2c. If this leak is true, the new product has the potential to strengthen Logitech's position in the high-end gaming mouse market. However, the device's success will depend heavily on its reception by the gaming community, which values โโnot only specifications but also everyday usability.
