Jakarta, Gizmologi – With easier internet access using smartphones, more and more people are now utilizing AI platforms for a variety of purposes. From simple questions to more complex ones like health, everything is free and easy to access. To further enhance convenience and security, OpenAI has released ChatGPT Health specifically for users who want to discuss health issues further.
Yes, of all the topics or questions users can submit, AI platforms like ChatGPT can also answer health-related questions. However, at the end of the answer, it's always stated that AI like ChatGPT cannot replace a doctor in providing health consultations. It can only provide advice, not provide advanced care.
ChatGPT Health isn't intended to replace doctors. Rather, it's a dedicated, separate digital space where users can safely discuss health issues and upload information about their health to the platform. This is to ensure it isn't used to train AI systems.

ChatGPT Health is not intended to replace the role of doctors.
The new ChatGPT Health option isn't without reason—based on internal data from OpenAI, at least 230 million people worldwide regularly ask health or fitness questions at least weekly. Therefore, this option allows the platform to provide more tailored responses based on each user's health information and context.
"Today, health-related information is often scattered across portals, apps, wearables, PDFs, and medical records, making it difficult to see the big picture, and people are left to navigate the complex healthcare system on their own. Many people have shared stories about how they're using ChatGPT to help make sense of it all," explained OpenAI's official statement in a release (January 7).

To make things easier for its users, ChatGPT Health supports integration with electronic medical records and fitness apps, allowing the platform to understand test results, provide advice on diet and exercise routines, and even help prepare for doctor appointments and consider more relevant insurance options.
And as previously emphasized, ChatGPT Health is not designed to replace medical care, but rather to support users in better understanding their medical records, allowing for more in-depth conversations with doctors when needed.
Prioritizing Privacy, Chats Are Not Used to Train AI Models

So what makes the discussion process in the ChatGPT Health menu different? This new option comes with active privacy protection, with "Memory Health" processed separately to maintain health context, and all conversations, including uploaded documents, are encrypted by default. Furthermore, all conversations and data will not be used to train OpenAI models.
Separate from the main chat room, the ChatGPT Health feature can be found through a dedicated menu. Users can also integrate health data from various platforms, including Apple Health, Function, and MyFitnessPal. This option, which has just been introduced, will be rolled out gradually. Gizmo friends can register to receive access to the ChatGPT Health service when it becomes available.
Currently, only a limited number of users have the opportunity to try the ChatGPT Health service for specific testing before it's ready to be rolled out to all users globally. Are you interested in this new service that OpenAI is ready to introduce?
