Jakarta, Gizmology – Razer officially introduced their two newest gaming keyboards, Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz and Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless 8KHz, which is claimed to be the most advanced device in Razer's esports line. Both continue the legacy of the Huntsman series by bringing significant improvements to typing speed, precision, and comfort—three crucial factors for professional gamers.
According to Barrie Ooi, Head of the PC Gaming Division at Razer, this product is the result of the company's ambition to continue pushing the boundaries of esports performance. "With the evolution of Analog Optical Switches and 8000 Hz HyperPolling technology, we're delivering the speed and control elite gamers demand," he said. This claim demonstrates that Razer isn't just making cosmetic updates, but is also focusing on actual performance improvements that gamers can directly feel.
Despite Razer's dominance in the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz and TKL versions, some industry insiders believe the 8000Hz polling rate increase may not be noticeable for most casual users. However, at the competitive level, especially for professional FPS gamers, millisecond differences can be the deciding factor.
Results of Direct Collaboration with World Esports Athletes

Razer emphasized that the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz was developed with the direct involvement of several renowned esports athletes, including Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, a Counter-Strike legend with over 10 international titles. In his statement, NiKo said that this latest model offers better precision and reliability than the previous version. “During its development, I shared a lot of direct feedback based on competitive experience. I even visited Razer’s lab in Singapore to perfect the feel and performance of this keyboard,” he said.
In addition to NiKo, Razer also collaborated with other professional esports teams who provided feedback to adjust keystroke feel, latency levels, and component durability. Jeffrey Chau, Global Esports Director at Razer, added that this device is not just a performance upgrade, but a representation of close collaboration between engineers and professional athletes.
This approach demonstrates Razer's efforts to maintain its product's relevance among competitive gamers. However, some observers believe that partnering with esports athletes is also part of a common marketing strategy used by major brands in the gaming industry.
Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 Technology and Premium Design

Both the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz and TKL variants are equipped with Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 and True 8000 Hz HyperPolling Technology, which is claimed to deliver 11% faster performance than the closest competitor with a latency of only 0,58 milliseconds. Rapid Trigger Mode and Snap Tap features allow players to change direction instantly without having to release the first button, a crucial feature in competitive games like Counter-Strike and Valorant.
Razer also enhanced the keyboard's construction with a 5052 aluminum alloy frame, a layer of sound-dampening foam, and pre-lubricated stabilizers to reduce excessive clicking noise. These elements not only enhance durability but also provide a smoother and quieter typing experience, perfect for long gaming sessions.
Additional features like a multi-function digital dial, dedicated macro keys, and Rapid Trigger sensitivity settings can be adjusted directly from the keyboard without the need for additional software. All setting profiles are stored internally, making it easy for players to switch devices without losing their configuration.
With its combination of ergonomic design, next-generation sensor technology, and direct collaboration with esports athletes, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz looks set to set a new standard in the world of competitive peripherals. While its price will likely be higher than that of mainstream keyboards, for professional gamers, the increased precision and speed it offers may be worth the investment.
However, for casual users, the experience of using a keyboard with a polling rate as high as 8000 Hz may not be much different from previous models. Ultimately, the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz is a reflection of how Razer continues to strive to balance technical innovation with the expectations of the competitive community - a move that not only maintains its reputation but also strengthens its position at the top of the global gaming ecosystem.
