Jakarta, Gizmologi – Together with Digital Data Centers (BDDC) will soon present a data center platform in the city with a capacity of up to 60 megawatts (MW). This new Data Center offers dense and varied interconnectivity to support the growth of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
"Today we present not just a data center, but a digital platform, which we are quite confident will become a platform that can be a place for digital enablers to gather and interconnect with each other," said BDDC President Commissioner Setyanto Hantoro in his statement, Friday (12/5/2023).
For information, BDDC was initiated by Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia which is controlled by Provident Capital (Provident), PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk. (Saratoga), and partner Macquarie Asset Management.
The formation of BDDC began with the acquisition of two data centers in the city, namely PT Rumah Data Kita from ProCap Properti which BDDC calls the JST Site (South-East Jakarta Site) and PT PCDC Propco One or AtriaDC from Saratoga which is called the JBT Site (West-Jakarta-Tangerang).
With a data hall area of 20.000 square meters, BDDC operates five 60 MW data center modules covering 9.000 racks. According to BDDC, to date, various customers from various sectors have joined its data center ecosystem including financial services, commodity companies, and media content.

Joint President Director of Digital Data Centres (BDDC) Angelo Syailendra said that the data center was built in the center of Jakarta with high interconnectivity and supported by strict operational standards and credential security systems.
With strategic data center locations, BDDCs offer a number of advantages including better performance and lower latency, proximity to end users, and reduced total cost of ownership of technology assets throughout their life cycle.
Angelo said BDDC is preparing a number of steps forward including continuing to enrich the interconnectivity ecosystem within the data center, building data center sites, and developing the data center business both organically and inorganically through acquisitions.
"We will also continue to build data centers both in the locations we currently have where we can reach more than 60 MW or in new places where we see good market potential," he said.
In addition, BDDC is also committed to investing in local talents working in its internal teams, including the principle of gender equality, as well as maintaining business sustainability through the use of environmentally friendly technology.
