Jakarta, Gizmology - Pulsar Gaming Gears officially launched the Pulsar Susanto-X, a gaming mouse resulting from a collaboration with two brothers who are well-known in the competitive arena: Jason โf0rsakeNโ Susanto and Kevin โXccurateโ Susanto.
The phenomenon of professional players directly involved in the development of gaming equipment is nothing new. However, Susanto-X is interesting because it stems from the personal experiences of two brothers who have pursued different career paths but have nonetheless had significant influence in the world of esports. Jason is still active as a professional player with Paper Rex (PRX), while Kevin is now focusing on content creation after previously playing for the T1 team.
For some fans, the launch of this device is more than just about the technical specifications. There's an emotional connection, from the story of healthy sibling rivalry to their ambition to leave a mark on the esports world. However, the question remains: will this mouse truly meet the needs of gamers across the board, or is it simply a personal symbol for fans of both devices?

Susanto-X Designed from Competitive Experience

The Susanto-X boasts serious specifications for an esports mouse. Pulsar equips it with the flagship XS-1 sensor, which supports polling rates up to 8K, offering fast response and high precision for professional tournament use. Weighing just 50 grams, its symmetrical design is designed for comfort during long gaming sessions.
Jason emphasized that the mouse's shape was a top priority during the development process. The classic, smaller shape is said to provide a more comfortable grip, while the click button has been redesigned for consistent response. Personal details include an S-shaped scroll wheel, representing the Susanto family name, and the brothers' signatures on the side of the mouse.
Beyond the shape and sensors, Pulsar also adds an aesthetic element with its striking black-and-pink colorway. While attractive, this colorway may not be to everyone's liking, given that gaming hardware often favors neutral or aggressive colors like black and red.
Practical Functions and Striving to Become a Gaming Mouse Icon

From an emotional perspective, Kevin described Susanto-X as a family "legacy" they want to leave behind in the esports world. This certainly adds value to fans who have followed their careers. However, for casual gamers who aren't as concerned with the emotional background, the main selling point remains the technical performance.
On the other hand, some observers believe that the trend toward "signature" devices like this has the potential to be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, collaboration with professional gamers does provide an authentic experience that's hard to match. However, on the other hand, there's a risk that these products will only appeal to a niche audience, while mainstream gamers may prefer other, more competitively priced devices.
Pulsar itself, through CMO Stuart Chan, emphasized that the Susanto-X isn't just a symbol, but a product born from genuine debate and ideas between the two brothers. According to him, this collaboration has succeeded in delivering a mouse with performance that can be relied on by anyone, both professional and casual gamers.
