Jakarta, Gizmologi โ The uncertain protest situation in several areas of Jakarta and other cities has made some online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers more cautious in carrying out their work. As a result, many netizens have tried to help them. Some assistance has even come directly from abroad.
Calls for mutual assistance for online motorcycle taxi drivers began last Friday, with many X and Instagram users suggesting larger tips. However, what has gained traction since last weekend is the trend of donations from international netizens. Residents from Malaysia and several other countries are helping Indonesian motorcycle taxi drivers.
Everyone is working together to order or deliver food through ride-hailing apps. In this way, this social movement, which has become quite popular, can ease the anxiety of online motorcycle taxi drivers, many of whom say it's becoming more difficult to work in the ever-evolving situation.

The thread, created by Yammi, has garnered over 30 million views. And thanks to the interaction on the post, many international netizens have joined in helping order food.
In addition to ordering food, some users also help in other ways, utilizing features like GrabMart. This includes providing medical supplies, which are more urgently needed during protests, to ensure more effective assistance. All information is streamed in real time within the X platform.
