Jakarta, Gizmology โ Ubisoft has finally made an official statement regarding the leak of information about the Animus Hub, the latest feature of the Assassin's Creed franchise previously known by the codename Infinity project. In a post on Reddit, Ubisoft responded to the rumor that was considered inaccurate and decided to provide clarification directly to fans.
According to Ubisoft as quoted from Gamespot, all the rewards available in the Animus Hub will be completely free, without involving a paid subscription system or a paid battle pass. In addition, Ubisoft promises to add new content such as additional missions and features periodically, at no additional cost to players. This is good news for fans who were previously worried about the excessive monetization of this feature.
Ubisoft also confirmed that more details about the Animus Hub will be released closer to launch. However, this Reddit post marks the first official announcement of the name โAnimus Hub,โ which the developer had previously hinted at in a media interview back in June.

New Features for a More Immersive Gaming Experience

Based on leaks circulating, Animus Hub will offer various interesting features, including cosmetics for player characters and weapons. Cosmetics that can be accessed include futuristic weapon skins, armor with a mythological theme, to unique mounts that enrich the playing experience. In addition, players can also collect various useful resources in the game, giving more freedom to customize their playing style.
One of the most interesting leaks is the appearance of Yasuke, the main character who is part of the new Assassin's Creed story. Yasuke is seen inside the Animus Hub, which suggests that this feature is likely to be a center of activity or a link between missions in the game world.
Ubisoftโs commitment to providing regular content updates at no additional cost shows their efforts to maintain fan loyalty while adding value to the game. By promising that these features will be free, Ubisoft seems to want to emphasize that their main focus is on quality and the gaming experience, not just monetization.
More Mature Game Development

Alongside the announcement of the Animus Hub, Ubisoft also provided an update on their big project, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Originally scheduled for release in October 2024, the game has been delayed to February 14, 2025. The delay, according to Ubisoft, is intended to give the developer extra time to ensure the game is of better quality before it is released to the market.
The delay is in line with Ubisoftโs move in recent years to prioritize finishing touches over tight deadlines, in order to maintain their reputation with players. Marc-Alexis Cotรฉ, Assassinโs Creed series head, also stated that Ubisoft is working on introducing a new story direction in the modern aspect of the game, which has long been one of the franchiseโs iconic elements. Ubisoftโs clarification regarding the Animus Hub and the updated release schedule for Assassinโs Creed Shadows show their dedication to providing the best experience possible for fans.
With the promise of free features, regular content additions, and a focus on quality, players now have more reasons to look forward to the launch of new features and games from one of the most iconic game series. The Animus Hub is more than just a feature, itโs a step forward in bringing a more immersive and inclusive gaming experience to the global community.
