Jakarta, Gizmologi – When Honor first officially returned to Indonesia a few months ago, it immediately stepped on the gas to introduce its latest device ecosystem, ranging from laptops, foldables, and wearables. Now, entering September, Honor is ready to introduce a number of new tablet options. This includes the Honor Pad X7, which is quite interesting, especially for Gizmo friends looking for a compact tablet option.
The Honor Pad X7 itself debuted at the end of July, adding to the already-growing market for affordable Android tablets. The availability of affordable Android tablets is crucial, as many choose them as productivity companions and educational devices for students.
However, the Pad X7 isn't just any cheap tablet—it will compete with the compact tablet market already occupied by Xiaomi and Samsung. There aren't many options, so this latest Honor tablet is ready to provide more options. So, what are the specifications of the Honor Pad X7?

Honor Pad X7 Performance Powered by Qualcomm Chip

More or less, if you look at it from official product page, the specifications of the Honor Pad X7 are indeed equivalent to the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 and the Galaxy Tab A9 released in 2023. More compact in size, the screen dimensions are both made 8,7 inches, using an IPS LCD HD+ panel in a 90Hz refresh rate. To make it easier to use outdoors, a special mode makes the Honor Pad X7 screen can light up to 625 nits brightly. Plus it is TUV Rheinland certified for comfortable eye contact.
The display is combined with a stereo speaker setup, and all the features of the Honor Pad X7 are packed into a compact body. It is less than 8mm thick, with a weight of around 360 grams. The rear panel or body is made of metal, and the Honor Pad X7 has passed 42 different types of physical tests—from use in extreme scenarios, drop tests, to certain types of pressure.

Running MagicOS 9 based on Android 15, the Honor Pad X7's chipset doesn't use a MediaTek release like its two closest competitors. Honor consistently collaborates with Qualcomm and embeds the 680nm octa-core Snapdragon 6 chip. It's paired with up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot that supports capacities up to 1TB.
To support productivity, Honor has also embedded a number of AI features into the Honor Pad X7 tablet. These include Google's proprietary AI features like Gemini and Circle to Search, and AI Call Noise Cancellation, which simplifies online voice and video calls. Google Kids Space is also integrated, making this compact Honor tablet even more child-friendly.
Will be sold at prices starting at IDR 1 million

In addition to its powerful chipset, the Honor Pad X7's battery capacity is also quite large, reaching 7020 mAh. This large capacity can be shared with other devices via reverse charging using a cable. Unfortunately, the official product page only supports 10W charging, which is still relatively slow and will take extra time to fully charge.
In Saudi Arabia, the Honor Pad X7 is priced starting at SAR349, or around Rp1,5 million for the 4+128GB variant. This is a very attractive price, if it matches the official price in Indonesia. Unfortunately, there's no pricing information yet—we'll have to wait for the official launch event in the coming days.
In addition to the Honor Pad X7, Honor Indonesia is also ready to introduce two other tablet options: the Honor X9a, which is claimed to be lightweight yet powerful enough to support daily activities, and the Honor Pad 10, which has more AI features. Both are scheduled to launch on September 3, 2025.
