Another new technological exhibition event that can be enjoyed by residents of Jakarta and surrounding areas. Is Teknopolis 2017 initiated by Erafone and Traya Events. The exhibition was held for three days starting from 9 to 11 June 2017 located at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
With the theme “Today’s Technology and Beyond,” Teknopolis 2017 is welcomed by most brands of gadget technology, wearable devices, digital cameras, to well-known automobiles, which have been continuing to develop innovative products.
Hasan Aula, CEO of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk, which is the parent of Erafone, said Teknopolis 2017 event will not only showcase current and future products and technologies, but also give visitors the opportunity to try innovations of cutting-edge technology products. “We expect Teknopolis 2017 to be able to encourage the growth of the internet of things industry in Indonesia as well as the digital community that keeps up with the technology,” said Hasan Aula in his official statement.
Entering the 2nd day, the participants introduced new products, both on the market and to be released in the near future. The excitement is seen in almost all exhibition booths, due to the high enthusiasm of visitors to the technology exhibition, the Internet of Things (IoT), the latest wearable devices and smartphones, which were first held in Indonesia.
At JBL booth, visitors can try the latest audio technology that has been embedded in various products from companies from the United States. The latest wireless portable speakers such as JBL Clip 2 Special Edition, JBL Flip 4, JBL Go, JBL E55BT Quincy Edition, JBL Playlist, and JBL Xtreme. JBL also showcased home audio that includes loudspeakers, Soundbars, Home Theater System, and Subwoofers. JBL audio technology that has been trusted by world-renowned automotive brand for in-car-entertainment are also exhibited.
Not to forget, Lenovo Mobile Indonesia also brings the entire series of smartphones, ranging from VIBE Series, P Series, and A Series. During the month of Ramadhan and Idul Fitri, Lenovo Mobile Indonesia holds Lenovo Buka Million Rezeki, a promo of smartphones with special price plus various direct prizes such as Powerbank, Exclusive Earphone, cool T-Shirt to additional prizes in the form of pulses worth Rp 50,000 for the first 500 people.
Meanwhile, Sphero – a sophisticated toy with the latest technology of orbotix system, is a small ball-shaped fist that is made of polycarbonate material. Robotic balls are compatible with iOS and Android so that it can be controlled through smartphone or tablet applications via the Bluetooth connection within the range of approximately 30m.
There are three products that become the mainstay of robot technology company from the United States, namely Sphero, Ollie, and SPRK +. Sphero also brought other sophisticated toys in the form of a remote controller car Lighting McQueen – a character from the Disney-Pixar animated film “Cars”. It also features robots from Star Wars BB-8, BB-8 SE, and Force Band, as well as Spider-man robots from Marvel.
Elsewhere, Xiaomi holds a fan meeting to get closer to its loyal customers in Indonesia. Not only smartphones, some innovative products that Xiaomi exhibited include Xiaomi Red Mi Note 4, Mi Box Android TV, Mi Air Purifier, No Drone, Mi Robot Builder, USB-style suitcase, and Mi Rice Cooker.
To make it happen, Xiaomi will partner with several local companies, such as PT Erajaya Swasembada, PT Sat Nusapersada, and TSM Technologies. Xiaomi will also meet the manufacturing aspect by increasing the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) up to 30 percent. Xiaomi is also committed to fulfilling the local software aspect set by the government.
No less exciting, Fujifilm Indonesia that shows off Instax Square Insto SQ10 instant hybrid camera more focus to the market mirrorless camera. Two new series of this type of camera also appeared in the event Teknopolis 2017, the Fujifilm X100S and Fujifilm X20. In addition, Fujifilm also includes other series such as XF1 series, X-E1, X-Pro1, X100, X10, and X-S1.
Animo visitors also sucked a lot in the booth DJI, which has just launched a new product mini-drone DJI Spark. This tiny aircraft is equipped with super ability because the movement can be controlled by hand movement without the remote controller.

Excitement is also presented by OPPO Indonesia who relies on the latest smartphone, OPPO F3 series. This phone is a small version of the F3 Plus Series which comes with a selfie group feature. OPPO also brings all the latest smartphones ranging from F3 Plus, F1S, F1S Plus, A57, A39, and Neo 7.
Bambang Setiawan, Project Director of Traya Events admitted that packing Teknopolis exhibition is slightly different from other technology exhibitions. The exhibition is packed with a new concept where the products featured are the flagship product of every brand. In fact, there are some brands only show sample products that have not been marketed in Indonesia. In addition, some brands also display a complete ecosystem one of which is Samsung.
