Stroke can attack any age group, including young people. Alita and XL Axiata’s solution, JAGATARA, provides users with the latest and most comprehensive detection technology. Jati Padang Hospital in South Jakarta is the pilot project for this program.
This technology was presented by XL Axiata together with Alita Praya Mitra as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program “XL Axiata Cares”. According to XL Axiata’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Feby Sallyanto, the launch of JAGATARA is an effort by XL Axiata and Alita to contribute significantly to increasing public awareness in the health sector through technology.
“We want to encourage public awareness in preventing stroke, which many people suffer from at large. “Along with educational programs and gathering participation, we are making this not just a tool and solution, but also a social movement,” said Feby in a press release received by Gizmologi in Jakarta (31/5).
He hopes that the Jaga Tara platform can be a solution that can be useful for suppressing and reducing the number of stroke cases in Indonesia.
What is JAGATARA?
JAGATARA (Jiwa Raga Sehat Sejahtera) is an early detection solution for stroke that has smart detection capabilities, in the form of a platform that combines technology and analysis of public health. By focusing on early stroke detection, this solution is an important pillar in efforts to prevent stroke early, especially for people with heart disease, diabetes and hypertension.
Through integrated devices, JAGATARA provides accurate and real-time data in monitoring various health parameters such as patient history, risk level, blood pressure, heart rate and physical activity.
With the JAGATARA platform, it is hoped that public health accessibility can be significantly improved. Users not only have access to their own health information, but also gain easy access to a wider range of health services. This helps reduce disparities in health access between urban and rural areas, as well as between different socio-economic groups.
The JAGATARA solution is applied through tangible devices such as smartwatches worn on the patient’s hand. This device has features for measuring blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, footsteps and distance traveled using a smart wearable device as a measuring tool which is connected to the JAGATARA application on a cellphone via Bluetooth.
450 Jagatara Equipment Units for Jati Padang Regional Hospital
Currently, 450 units of the JAGATARA device have been produced to be used by patients at risk of stroke who use health services at Jati Padang Regional Hospital, South Jakarta. In the future, this solution will also be implemented in several cities in Indonesia.
The launch of this program was made possible thanks to the participation and support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI), Regional Government, Health Facility Provider Partners and others. President Director of Alita Praya Mitra, Teguh Prasetya added, JAGATARA brings the latest detection technology and complete solutions within the grasp of its users.
“Through devices that can monitor various health parameters such as patient history, risk level, blood pressure, heart rate and physical activity, JAGATARA provides accurate and real-time data. “This allows users to get early warning of the potential risk of stroke they are experiencing,” he said.
Teguh added, not only providing warnings to users, JAGATARA also has the ability to integrate with local government command centers, ministries, or health service centers. This integration allows users to get direct help and advice from relevant health authorities, as well as speeding up responses in emergency situations or circumstances that require medical intervention.
Meanwhile, the Director of Jati Padang Regional Hospital, dr. Siti Ainun Dwiyanti sees the importance of early detection to reduce the bad effects of stroke. JAGATARA is an innovative and solution step in an effort to improve the quality of life of stroke patients and individuals vulnerable to this disease. “This is in line with Jati Padang Hospital’s commitment to continue to improve and strengthen the quality of our services for patients,” he added.
By utilizing advances in digital technology and efforts to better detect early stroke, JAGATARA is expected to be able to provide maximum protection for the community.
