The way to update iOS 18 on an iPhone is quite easy, you only need to go to the settings menu. After that select General, click About and software update. In the software update menu, you can see the last operating system you downloaded, and if the update has not been done, there will be a sign to download it.

Quoting Engadget, the iOS 18 system has hidden features and improvements provided by Apple. As well as improvements to Apple Maps, Calendar integration with Reminders, and expanded Tapback options in Messages, so users can see who reacted with what emoji.
Safari gets a Highlight function, which generates a summary of the web page you're on through machine learning. If you were expecting the Apple Intelligence feature, unfortunately this latest iOS doesn't have that feature.
You can try the Apple Intelligence feature in October 2024 as part of the next update. In addition to iOS 18, all of Apple's other major operating system updates are also available.
That includes iPadOS 18, visionOS 2, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18 and watchOS 11, all of which are coming to their respective devices today. Make sure Gizmo friends to check whether your device is eligible for the update and has enough space. You may have to free up a few gigabytes of storage first.
