While waiting for the presence of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in Indonesia, You can try this middle-class smartphone. Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is a new variant launched by Samsung Electronics Indonesia. The Smartphone will be available in with the price tag of IDR 6.999.000.
Different with Apple and its closest competitor in Indonesia, Oppo, that has little products variants so easy to recognize by consumers, Samsung has quite a lot product variant. Apparently, the electronics giant from South Korea, it follows the style of the Nokia when first still be the ruler of the mobile market.
As consumers, we are familiar with some of the Samsung Galaxy series i.e. the S, A, J, and Note series. As it turns out, there’s more to the Galaxy series C that might add to consumer confusion. So this could be also a strategy to master all fronts, although on the other hand have the potential to compete with fellow their own products. But, it’s up to you, Samsung.
From my searches on the Samsung Electronics website, Galaxy C series completes the portfolio of Samsung smartphones to meet the needs of customers by accentuating the large memory and internal storage capacity and the camera function is improved. These things this could be the main advantage of Samsung Galaxy tab C9 Pro in addition to on the processor and battery.
In the camera sector, Samsung equipped C9 Pro with the back camera 16 MP, aperture f/1.9, Dual LED flash and has auto-focus. For those who are fond of a selfie, the front camera also has a sensor 16 MP with aperture F/1.9. To give artistic touch use a variety of filters and Pro features are integrated on the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. What about the photo quality? I haven’t tried it. Hopefully good. It may be on par with the Galaxy A series.
Next feature is Pro Memory in which the smartphone has a very large 6GB RAM and a 64 GB storage capacity plus the availability of micro SD slot up to 256 GB. I was quite surprised with the amount of RAM that offered. Because the latest smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8 only has 4GB RAM. With the provision of the big RAM, in theory, we could run many apps and games at once (multi-tasking) smoothly.
To support performance, Samsung does not use their own Exynos chipset, but rather use Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 653 which contains the Octa-core 64-bit (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53). It is not the Qualcomm’s premium processor, but the Snapdragon 653 remains resilient.
Also, we need not worry about power consumption because the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is armed with 4,000 mAh battery and Ultra Power Saving mode that can extend the wear time. Again, the battery capacity is much greater than the highest series of Samsung Galaxy S8 a still with a capacity of 3,000 mAh. I don’t know why Samsung just took a risk like this.
On the display, Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features Super AMOLED 6“ (1920 x 1080px) FHD screen. The screen is claimed to have a combination of the reproduction of natural color is accurate (NTSC 100%, Adobe RGB more than 90%) and 100,000:1 contrast ratio for deeper, richer color and detail as the original.
Are you interested? As I mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is priced at IDR 6.999.000, more expensive USD 1 million compared to the Galaxy A7 (2017). The smartphone can be obtained at Erafone retail store.
