After successfully licensed to deploy 4G LTE network at 450 Mhz frequency nationally in September last year, through the flag of Net1 Indonesia, PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia (STI) expanded its expansion into various regions. This time the target is the Island of Gods, Bali.
If referring to data of internet users in 2017 which was launched by the Association of Internet Service Providers (APJII), Bali is quite a potential market to work on. The reason, of the 132.7 million Internet users in Indonesia, Bali and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has pocketed as many as 6148,796 users or 4.7% of all users.

According to Larry Ridwan, CEO of Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Bali is one of the provinces that support Indonesia’s economy through its global tourism industry. With the growth of the industry, will certainly grow supporting industries in the region.
“The growing industrial growth of the local economy is what makes us strongly committed to Bali.We will maximize Net1 access to reach the area from Gilimanuk to the eastern end of Gili Selang,” he said in an official statement received by Gizmologi on Wednesday (8/24/2017).
As information for you, Net1 was previously named Ceria which is the service of CDMA operator (Code Division Multiple Access) in the rural area owned by STI. After renaming, STI is currently continuing to move from CDMA customers to migrate to 4G Net services which will be fully commissioned starting in 2018.
With the existence of Net1 in Bali, it will increase the number of existing 4G LTE network in eastern Indonesia, such as South Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and Maluku. In addition, this operator also has existed also in Aceh and Banten.
Net1 focuses on rural and suburban areas because the 4G LTE 450 Mhz signal range can reach over 100 km which is certainly suitable to the Indonesian archipelago characteristic. The operator also claims it will provide the network access to the 260 million Indonesians on more than 14,000 islands.
