Jakarta, Gizmologi – TikTok launched their independent music distribution and marketing platform named, SoundOn. The platform, which has been tested for several months, is finally available in several countries, such as the United States (US), the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Indonesia.
Launching the official website, this platform allows budding musicians and music activists to release their creations so that they can be distributed globally. SoundOn even allows musicians who upload their music directly to TikTok to earn royalties immediately when their music is used.
“When your work is released on SoundOn, our team will help you use your work for various creators. This can help to expand the market and fan base who enjoys your music,” wrote TikTok Friday (11/3/2022).
TikTok claims that they will pay 100% of royalties to creators and musicians who release their music or work on SoundOn. However, the royalty is only valid for the first year and will decrease to 90% in the second year and so on.
